There are three ways to join First Presbyterian Church:

1. Profession of Faith - People who have never been baptized may become church members by making a public profession of faith and by receiving baptism. People who have been baptized as infants and go through confirmation in 8th grade also join by profession of faith. Those who have received baptism but never united with a church may join by profession of faith.
   
   
2. Reaffirmation of Faith - People who have been baptized but have not been active in a local church in recent years may join by reaffirmation of faith. Or, people who have been church members but cannot obtain a transfer of letter may join by reaffirmation of faith.
   
   
3. Transfer of Letter - Persons who are members of another Christian congregation may become members by transfer of letter from their previous church.
